2025
Over 2025, our club has seen a flurry of activity and remarkable achievements. We successfully ran three 12-week courses and introduced six new puppy classes, while helping candidates achieve Kennel Club Good Citizen awards at bronze, silver, and gold levels. Our commitment to ongoing development was evident as instructors participated in a range of learning opportunities, resulting in an impressive number of PDTI accredited trainers across all levels.
Community engagement was a highlight, with our inaugural stall at the Melplash Show raising funds for Ferne Animal Sanctuary, and our team supporting Groves Nursery’s charity dog show. Hands-on training continued at Ferne Animal Sanctuary, where members honed their skills with rescue dogs. Social events, such as our popular fish and chip walk and Christmas parties, fostered camaraderie and supported local charities. The annual meal at the Golf Club provided another chance for members to connect and celebrate a successful year together.

Training and Advice area at St Mary’s Church Hall open day in Bridport.
Saturday 25th June
Our trainers attended an all day canine first aid course in Illminster.
Saturday 11th July
We held our full practice session for our upcoming Royal Kennel Club Good Citizen test
Saturday 18th July
We held a CPD day for our trainers working on our level exercises and common class behaviour problems.
Saturday 25th July
We held our Silver and Gold Royal Kc Good Citizen Tests, fantastic success of 3 Silver passes and 6 Gold passes. Thank you to our Kc examiner Grahame Godby.
Monday 10th August
Last week of this 8 week course, level tests and awards and our Bronze Kc test, start of our summer break.
Monday 17th August
Our annual fish and chip social walk to West Bay. All members are welcome.
Monday 7th September
Week 1 of our next 8 week course.
Saturday 12th September
Social pack walk for members only 2pm start at Trinity Hill in the forestry commission car park, a small fee for parking is required.
